  1. Canvas Layer

The Bones: Market Research, Design Concept Development, Floor Plan Review, Cosmetic Upgrades

  • Before we start furnishing, we want to ensure that the canvas we are working with is designed for utmost functionality, and that the concept for the space is a match for the market you are in. For this layer we will make decisions regarding materiality, color, lighting, and spatial design that set the tone for the rest of the design.

    • 90-minute design consultation

    • Market research

    • Design concept development

    • Spec Book detailing cosmetic upgrades such as finishes, fixtures, materials, hardware, lighting, and paint selections

2. Furnishing Layer

The Heart & Soul: Design Development, Implementation, Procurement & Installation

  • Working off of the initial concept developed in the Canvas layer, we will now develop the full design. This will include selecting and in some cases creating furnishings, floor coverings, lighting, window treatments, and artwork to bring the space to life.

    • Design development

3. Styling Layer

The Crown Jewels: Sourcing & Styling Unique Decorative Elements, Artifacts, and Art Objects

  • The finishing layer is all about introducing artfully selected details that reinforce the concept and carry a large visual impact in photos. This can include anything and everything from small sculptures, artifacts, accent textiles, plants, ceramics, books, minerals and more. Each element is sourced in person and styled to complement the base layers of the design.
